Release of liability & assumption of risk

Read this properly. It's short.

We drive on real roads in real traffic. This is the agreement that makes that possible — written to be understood rather than to be impressive. Nine points, plain English, no fine print anywhere else in the process.

1. 01

   I'm choosing to be there

   Club occasions are voluntary. Nobody from Deluxe Car Club is requiring me to attend, to drive, or to keep up with anyone — and I can leave any event, drive, or rally at any point without explanation.

2. 02

   I understand driving carries risk

   Drives and rallies happen on public roads, open to normal traffic, in real weather. Park & chills and other occasions happen at private venues where vehicles move around people. I understand that damage, injury, and death are possible, and I accept that risk knowingly.

3. 03

   I'm responsible for my own driving

   I will obey every traffic law, posted speed limit, and venue rule. The club does not organise, sanction, condone, or time any form of racing, speed contest, or competitive driving on public roads. How I drive is my decision and my liability alone — not the club's.

4. 04

   My vehicle, my licence, my insurance

   I confirm I hold a valid driver's licence and the insurance my state requires, and that any vehicle I bring is street-legal and mechanically sound. I remain responsible for my own vehicle and anything that happens to it.

5. 05

   I release the club from claims

   To the fullest extent Arizona law allows, I release Deluxe Car Club, its founders, officers, staff, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and venue hosts from any claim for injury, death, or property damage arising out of my attendance or participation. This release does not cover gross negligence or wilful misconduct, which Arizona does not permit anyone to waive.

6. 06

   I cover what I cause

   If my actions, my vehicle, or a guest I bring causes injury or damage to someone else, that's on me — I'll indemnify the club against claims arising from it, and I'm responsible for my guests' conduct as if it were my own.

7. 07

   Photography and film

   The club photographs and films its occasions. I grant Deluxe Car Club permission to use images and footage of me and my vehicle in club and promotional material, without payment. If I'd rather not appear, I'll tell the organiser at the event and the club will honour it.

8. 08

   Medical

   If I'm hurt and can't speak for myself, I consent to the club arranging emergency medical treatment, and I'm responsible for the cost of it.

9. 09

   The rest

   This agreement is governed by Arizona law. If a court finds any part of it unenforceable, the remainder still stands. I'm signing it for myself, my family, and anyone who could bring a claim on my behalf — and I'm at least 18.

A copy of this agreement, with the version you signed against (2026-08-08.v1), is kept on your file and emailed to you on acceptance. Nothing further to sign at the gate.
